Please Vote

All elections are important. Each deserves our attention and participation. But, this November’s election will be truly critical for the future of our county. And, your vote will be critically important.

We ask that you carefully consider each and every Democratic candidate: Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, Amy McGrath for Kentucky Senator, Hank Linderman for U.S. House, and Jim Glenn for Kentucky State Representative. We hope that you will decide to vote for Democratic candidates. But most of all, we beg you to vote for the candidates of your choice.

The information and links on this page will help you make the November  election as simple and effective as possible. Please pay attention to the deadlines and please, please vote.

Important Dates

  • Monday 10/5/20:  Last day to register to vote (Visit GoVoteKY)
  • Tuesday 10/13/20: First day to vote early (in person).  **Any Kentuckian can vote early for any reason.**
  • Friday 10/9/2020 no later than 11:59 EDT: Last day to apply online for Absentee ballot
  • Tuesday 10/27/20: Last day to apply for mail-in absentee ballot
  • Tuesday 11/3/20: General Election Day.  Polls open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Friday 11/6/20: Last day for County Clerk’s Office to receive (mail-in) absentee ballot (must be post-marked by 11/3/20)

KY Absentee Voting

During the 2020 General Election, any registered voter may request to receive an absentee ballot in the mail.

1. Walk-in to clerk’s office prior to Election Day. No appointment is needed. Find County Clerk office hours and contact info here:

3. In-person on Election Day at your county’s polling location(s). Due to the Covid-19 virus, there will be fewer polling locations open. Please check with your county clerk to find your polling location for the 2020 General Election.

Early Voting

Early voting will start on Oct. 13 and run through Nov. 2.

Early voting hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

Early voting on Saturdays will be at the county courthouse from 8 a.m. to noon on Oct. 17, Oct. 24 and Oct. 31.
