Thank you for your interest in the Democratic Woman’s Club of Daviess County KY. And, thank you for visiting our website. We are the local affiliate of The Democratic Woman’s Club of Kentucky founded on March 17, 1927 and the oldest functioning Democratic women’s organization in the country.
As stated by the Democratic Woman’s Club of Kentucky,
“Over the last century, it has been Democratic women, who have fought for social change and reform. Our work is far from over. It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a woman stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, she sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance. There is still work to be done, and we invite you to be a part, for when women work together, we become a greater force than any of us could do by ourselves.”
To begin, we invite you to visit a monthly meeting (the 4th Thursday at 5:30 pm)(temporarily suspended during the county’s red zone covid status). We hope you’ll be moved to join ($20/yr membership ) our efforts to make Daviess County and Kentucky a better place for all. For more information, please complete our information request form. Together we will continue to promote Democratic principles and the candidates who reflect our beliefs, values and concerns.
